Dr. Ying-Lan Chang Appointed as Associate Director Application Development

Emeryville, CA - October 10, 2005 - Nanomix, Incorporated, today announced the appointment of Dr. Ying-Lan Chang Ph.D. as Associate Director, Application Development to lead the company's application development efforts. In this position, Dr. Chang will report to Dr. Chris Valcke, Vice President of Research and Development.

Ying-Lan brings 10 years of diverse molecular technology and materials engineering experience to Nanomix and holds a Ph.D., in Materials Engineering from UC, Santa Barbara. Prior to joining Nanomix, Ying-Lan was Project Scientist at Agilent Technologies, leading the nanotube and nanowire biosensor applications efforts in the Molecular Technology Laboratory. Ying-Lan has also held Project Scientist positions in Agilent's Communications & Optical Research Laboratory as well as Hewlett Packard's Electronic Research Laboratory. Ying-Lan also serves as an organization committee member for the "Electrochemical Society/ Sensor Division"
