Nanomix Awarded As A Top 100 INNOVATOR by Red herring
San Francisco - December 8, 2004 - Nanomix Inc., a leading nanotechnology company, today announced that it has been selected as a Top 100 Innovator by Red Herring. The company is currently commercializing a line of nanoelectronic sensors for industrial and biomedical applications. Red Herring isn't the only organization taking notice. Nanomix received applause from the National Science Foundation earlier this month for its innovative respiratory sensor. The capnography sensor has the potential to provide a new tool for emergency responders, significantly extending the reach of carbon dioxide detection and broadening the application of general airway monitoring. "With the impending launch of our first products, Nanomix is approaching a very exciting stage. It is an honor to be named as one of the most innovative companies and we are proud to be among this select group," said David L. Macdonald, President and CEO of Nanomix, Inc. "This award confirms the Editors' confidence in our team, technology and intellectual property." "Selection for the Innovation 100 puts Nanomix in an elite group. The editors worked hard to identify the companies who will benefit from the important technology trends in the coming year," said Joel Dreyfuss, Editor-in-Chief of Red Herring. Red Herring's editorial staff evaluated over 1200 submissions from 900 companies. The editors used a careful analysis of financial data as well as subjective criteria, including quality of management, execution of strategy, and dedication to research and development. About Nanomix
